Here is a summary background of my experience. During my college years, I sold bibles door-to-door and learned hard work and how to treat everyone with respect and appreciation. I entered the insurance field after graduation from college in 1970 as State Farm had a recruitment service on campus. Although recruited for an agency role, it was not until 1977 that I started my "scratch" agency. My years in management gave me a good appreciation of the company that I represent and the value it places in servicing the public. Building my agency with this core value of having my customers' interest foremost is important to me.

Personally, I am married to Mary whom I met and fell in love while we both were working at State Farm Corporate Headquarters. We raised three children and are blessed with five grandchildren. We enjoy our grand kids very much, especially watching them in many, many sports activities. Today, I find time for carpentry work as I enjoy construction and am pretty handy with tools. Also, being a member of Ohio Forestry Association helps me in preserving Ohio forestry land. Encouraging my neighbors and friends to plant trees in the long run will help preserve our earth and promote the quality of life for all.
